The band officially formed in January 2008 and immediately became the house band at the Priory Tavern in Orpington, hosting the Monday night open mic session.  It’s a band that’s been a long time in the making. Chris and Steve have been working on projects together with other artists for the past 2 years while Matt  has been sessioning for local bands in Orpington.  The idea of forming Jacks Back came after the guys all worked together performing at charity events in the run up to Christmas 2007.  Their influences range from a huge ensemble of blues masters right through to rock guru’s like Pink Floyd and Queen, then throwing in a dash of the more modern such as the Foo Fighters and The Goo Goo Dolls.
